UNAFRI will host the third African Youth Crime Prevention Platform (AYCPP) discussion on 26 June 2026, examining the causes, consequences and prevention of mob justice in Africa and the role of young people in promoting the rule of law.

UNAFRI and PACEM Havens Foundation held a strategic meeting at the UNAFRI Secretariat in Kampala to explore collaboration on youth crime prevention, offender rehabilitation, violent extremism prevention, and community-based interventions. The discussions emphasized lived experience, restorative justice approaches, and the development of joint initiatives including a continental podcast and youth outreach programs.
