UNAFRI is an entity of the United Nations system which presents itself as a satellite body of the United Nations Commission for Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at the regional level. This Commission itself is subordinate to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

UNAFRI Pays Courtesy Visit to the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Uganda

On May 08, 2026, UNAFRI, led by its Acting Director General, Mr. Munanura Andrew Karokora, paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Kampala.

 

The delegation was received by Mr. Leonard Zulu, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Uganda.

The Governance and Security Programme (GSP) Working Group Meeting on Cyber- and Technology-Facilitated Crimes.

On the 27th of March, 2026, UNAFRI participated in the Governance and Security Programme meeting held at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, Uganda. The meeting focused on the increasing prevalence of cyber and technology-enabled crimes.
