On 6 Feb 2026, the Director General of the United Nations African Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders (UNAFRI) was Chief Guest at the graduation of 15 ex-prisoners titled: “Facilitating Successful, Productive Reintegration of ex- prisoners in Uganda” project by PACEM Havens Foundation in collaboration with Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI).
Graduates completed hands-on training in bakery, fruit processing, soap & detergent production equipping them for self-employment and sustainable livelihoods.
With support from the Australian High Commission, the initiative highlights the power of partnership in advancing rehabilitation, restorative justice & inclusive development.
