The United Nations African Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders (UNAFRI) is proud to participate in the 3rd Financial Sector Anti-Fraud Forum 2025, organized by the Uganda Bankers’ Association (UBA) in partnership with leading industry stakeholders.
The forum, scheduled for Tuesday, 21st October 2025 at Mestil Hotel, Kampala, will bring together financial experts, regulators, law enforcement agencies, and digital innovators to address the evolving threats of financial sector fraud in both traditional and digital spaces.
UNAFRI’s Deputy Director General, Mr. Andrew Karokora Munanura, will be among the distinguished speakers, sharing insights under the theme:
“Confronting Financial Sector Fraud; Building Resilience Through Collaboration Across Traditional & Non-Traditional (Digital) Frontiers.”
As an institution committed to promoting crime prevention and justice reform in Africa, UNAFRI continues to advocate for stronger collaboration between financial institutions, regulators, and justice systems to enhance the prevention, detection, and prosecution of financial crimes.
This engagement underscores UNAFRI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional frameworks, build resilience, and foster knowledge exchange in tackling financial sector vulnerabilities across the continent.
